It can be a little overwhelming when you walk into a pet shop and see the variety of cages available. It is hard, just the best cage for Cockatiels are white. Cockatiels do require a little different setup than some other cage birds. Here are some tips for selecting and equipping a cage for your cockatiel.
- Your cockatiel's cage should be large enough so that it extended its wings completely may, without any contact side of the cage. This is so he does not break wing feathers in too small a cage, and also for its comfort. You do not want you pet be too narrow, especially when he lives in his cage most of the day.
- The bars of the cage should be wide variety of room (not a parakeet cage). This is so he can get up and down easily on the rods down perches and again.
- You should have a more perches of different diameters in your cage. This is so your cockatiel feet do not get tired while squatting.
- Make sure your water and keep food from among the on perches where your cockatiel perched most. You do not want to get feces and feathers in his food and water.
- Cockatiels love to swim. You can Keep a container of water to bathe him every day. Purchase the way in the door hooks for easy removal and cleaning.
- Make sure to play a lot of toys for your cockatiel and have occupied it. bored cockatiels and hatred because of their strange nature, keep the love be excited and busy. A bored cockatiel may be a disgusting cockatiel!
